Sunday dinner at my Grandma's (Maw Maw) house was always the best. But the best part was dessert.
1 loaf day old French bread1 cup raisins
4 cups milk1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups sugar1 cup crushed pineapple
4 Tbsp butter, melted1 cup pecans, chopped
3 large eggs1 tsp nutmeg
2 Tbsp vanilla extract

Shortcut: Use two loaves (1 pound each) of Cinnamon Raisin Bread.
You can omit the raisins and the cinnamon. I still add additional cinnamon because I love the flavor.

Combine all ingredients; mixture should be very moist but not soupy. Pour into buttered 9 x 9 inch baking dish. Place into cold oven.
Set oven to 350° and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until top is golden. If you stick a butter knife into the pudding it should come out moist, not "wet" and runny.
