Sweet Dough for 1 Pie: 2 eggs 1/2 cup crisco 1 cup sugar Beat the above well. Combine: 1/2 cup milk 1-1/2 tsps. baking powder 3 cups flour 1/2 tsp. soda 1 pinch salt (1/8 tsp)
Mix all together and knead until smooth; put in refrigerator overnight. | Cream for Pie: 1 cup sugar 1-1/2 cups milk 1 tbsp. margarine 1/2 cup cornstarch 3 egg yolks Cook over low heat until thick, stirring the whole time. Roll dough and put in a 9 inch pie plate, then put filling in pie. Roll dough and cut strips about 1/2 inch wide and put crisscross over pie and bake until light brown at 350 degrees. |
